Team Re-Create: Posted on Wednesday, February 29, 2012 10:59 AM
Another month under our belts and we have survived another British winter and maintained a high standard of fitness at Re-Create! Summer is bobbing its lovely head over the hill which means holidays, BBQ's, beach wear, parties and showing off all your hard work!
We have had some awesome results over the winter months, with members running some fantastic races and breaking PB's, other members have enjoyed incredible weight loss results!
What's next? Remember, we should always have a goal to strive towards, whether its the next big race, or the next half stone marker!

Emotions During Physical Exertion I ran what I thought was a tough 10km today... Although the run itself didn’t affect me, it was the toughest run I had undertaken in a while... Mentally! As I ran, I wondered what our boot campers feel during RCBC sessions or indeed during there own training sessions and runs... You see, today, I set off in my head thinking I will run an easy 5km followed by a slightly faster 10km but not race pace. The first 3km were OK, I felt good in my body, legs felt strong as I am doing some awesome leg sessions in preparation for upcoming races! |

I was recently chatting with a Re-Create Boot Camper about
how she is finding it, being a part of Re-Create Boot Camp. Her answer was this: “I feel like I am a part
of something”
That statement played on my mind for a while which urged me
to write this article. You see, when I
set out to build Re-Create Boot Camp, I looked back on past boot camps I had
ran... I looked at other boot camps in the area and how they go about doing the
stuff they do.
Having gained as much information as I could, not to mention
the amount of gyms I have worked in as a Personal Trainer and Gym Manager. |

Getting started with a new Fitness regime
Deciding to start a new fitness regime can be one of the best
decisions you ever make for your health and overall daily lifestyle.
Committing yourself to lose weight, shape up, reduce your risk of health
problems, build self confidence and your self-esteem.
Research suggests that it takes at approximately three weeks
to form a good habit. Therefore, before getting started, you must realise that
the magic isn’t going to happen overnight and, to get the results you want, you
have to pledge your time and make a commitment to YOURSELF! |

The Re-Create Residential Boot Camp
Blog
Today is the
last day of our Residential Boot Camp and what an awesome, exhilarating and challenging
week our boot campers have had!
We have put
them through a huge variety of physical activities ranging from high intensity
exercise to low key, long distance endurance training! Our boot campers have experienced emotions
they probably never thought possible, ached in places they never thought
possible and achieved things they never thought possible! |

The Magic Pillow
Case
Wouldn’t it
be amazing if we had a magic pillow case that gave us everything we wanted! I have just
finished running one of our Residential Boot Camps over in the stunning
Derbyshire Peaks with 6 boot campers committed to changing their lives!
I wanted to
blog about “The Magic Pillow Case” because there is a very powerful message
within this blog! You see, when the
human mind and body is pushed mentally and physically over 7 days you really
see the real person inside. Our boot campers have endured 7 days of physical pain,
an aching body, tired mind, and living & eating with people they only met
at the start of the week. |

Consistency
is Key Hey all... Today’s blog is all about training consistency. You see, people go through phases of
everything in life, for example you may go for like a month being addicted to a
certain meal. I go through fits and starts
with certain cereals, like I go mad on muesli for weeks and weeks and then
change to a grapefruit and yoghurt every morning.
That’s life, although most of us live in routine, we like
changing up now and again to keep us going... The same goes for our health and
fitness! |

Talkers Vs Action Takers
One of my colleagues recently blogged about the people in
this world who like to talk the talk but never walks the walk and I thought... What
an awesome topic to blog about too... so, let’s separate the talkers from the
action takers.
How many facebook status’ have you read by people who say
“Diet starts tomorrow” Or, heard people say, I will join the gym next week,
then next week comes and the gym doesn’t!
A lot of people moan about their weight or the way they
look and then do nothing about it! |

We put the BOOT CAMP back into BOOT CAMP!
Just lately I have noticed quite a few gyms running their
own outdoor sessions and slapping a “BOOT CAMP” label on it! To be honest, this
really gets my goat because it gives people different ideas of what boot camp
is!
Re-Create Boot Camp really does put the “boot” back into
Boot Camp... Our sessions are run outdoors in any weather and are instructed by
highly trained and professional Ex Military Physical Training Instructors
(PTI).
Boot Camp with Re-Create offers so much more than an outdoor
fitness class. |
