PERSONAL TRAINING TESTIMONIAL BY BOOT CAMPER, KATHY

re-create fitness ltd kathy B&AAfter attending Re-Create Fitness Bootcamp for nearly a year and enjoying each session so much, I wanted to give my fitness levels an extra push.  So when my family asked me what I would like for my birthday, the answer was simple, a block of Personal Training (P.T.) sessions with Re-Create Personal Trainer, Stuart.  I also felt it would help me to tone up a little more ready for my holidays.

I must admit I was really nervous before my first session in the gym, but had no reason to be.  Stuart was extremely professional, well prepared and organised.  He put me at ease and talked through each exercise so I understood which areas of my body were to be targeted along with the benefits of each exercise.  As the P.T. sessions were 1:1, Stuart modelled each exercise before I carried them out and corrected me if I was not doing the exercise accurately.  This resulted in maximum performance and benefits.

The buzz I got from each session was amazing! I’d been introduced to new and exciting exercises that pushed me to a different level of fitness.  The range of exercises was marvellous and made each P.T. session fun as well as hard work.  For example, walking on my hands on a treadmill, boxing, pull ups and press ups on the TRX, kettle bells, cycling etc.

I also loved the fact that each P.T session was totally different, challenged me and built upon my previous session performance.  I can’t lie but at the end of each session I was exhausted! However, on the other hand I was also on a high with what I had achieved.  I couldn’t believe that I could see the benefits after only a few sessions!

I know for certain that my increased level of fitness wouldn’t have been achieved without Stuart’s encouragement and confidence in my ability.  To be honest, each session was worth every penny and I would fully recommend the P.T. sessions to anyone who wants to improve their health and fitness.  All I wish for now is that someone buys me another block of P.T sessions for Christmas! Also read Kathy's Boot Camp Interview here

INTERVIEW WITH LYMM BOOT CAMPER, CHRISTINE

Re-Create Boot Camper Christine before
Hi Christine... You have had an amazing boot camp result so far! Are you still enjoying?
Yes, every session is different and I am always facing new challenges Every time I come away feeling great and that I have had a good session.

You were a beginner to fitness when you joined RC boot camp, how do you feel now to when you first started?
When I first started I would get out of breath playing outside with the children and was always tired and had no energy in the evenings or weekends. My first few sessions at Boot camp I was tired out after a warm up and had to keep stopping for a rest, but now I can run and keep up with the whole session. At weekends I have loads more energy and am really enjoying running and playing with the children. After boot camp, I come home full of energy ready to relax and enjoy my evenings.

You have gone down 2 dress sizes and lost 2 stone in weight since Christmas, whats your next goal?
I have achieved a lot since Christmas, but I want to continue with boot camp and lose another stone in weight. I want to be a size 10 again and be able to wear nice fashionable clothes again. I also want to build on my fitness and take on new challenges.

What keeps you coming back to RC boot camp?
The team spirit. Everyone is friendly and encouraging. Every session has new challenges but is fun as well.

Has RC Boot Camp changed your life and if so, in what ways?
Yes. I have more confidence in myself and the way I look. My family have definitely benefited. I have more time and energy to do things with them and I have started doing more physical activities with them.

What would you say to someone who was thinking about coming to RC Boot Camp?
Definitely come along and give it a go. Everyone is friendly and it does not matter how unfit you are when you start. Yes there are some very fit people at the classes, but they encourage you and help you. Yes it is hard work, but it is also fun and the benefits are fantastic.

If you only had 3 words to describe RC Boot Camp, what would they be??
Fun, challenging, enjoyable

Thank you for your time Christine, see you at the next session!

INTERVIEW WITH LYMM BOOT CAMPER, LIESL

Hi Liesl, How are you finding RC Boot Camp?

re-create fitness boot campers liesl hacker
I'm loving bootcamp. Quite a few of my friends now come along, and I've also become friends with people that I've met through bootcamp. If I can't make a session I really miss it and feel really envious when those that went.

Why did you join RC Boot Camp?
I joined bootcamp to lose weight and to get fit. I've lost weight many times in the past but I've never kept it off. I'll keep the weight off this time because I'm going to continue coming to bootcamp and keep on exercising.

What have you achieved since starting RC Boot Camp?
I started bootcamp at the end of August and in that time I've gone from 11 stone 12lbs to my target weight of 10 stone. But even more importantly I've significantly improved my fitness. When I started I could barely run 100m, this morning I ran more than 4 miles with some friends from bootcamp, and I've just signed up to run the Manchester 10k next May!

Has it changed your life and if so, in what ways?
It's changed my life in so many ways. I've regained alot of the confidence I'd lost because I wasn't happy with the way I looked, I fit into all my favourite clothes again, I have loads of energy now and I feel great about being fitter and healthier.

What has been the most memorable part of it all?
Every bootcamp session is so different and each is memorable in its own way. I suppose it probably has to be the time we ran round a pole with our forehead on it. I got so dizzy that I started running sideways before finally falling over into a huge puddle of mud! Of course Chris' faux pas' feature quite high aswell.

What would you tell someone who has never been before?

I would say that you should give it a try and not to worry if you think that you are too unfit. All different fitness levels attend and we all support and encourage one another. If you are anything like me it will completely change you approach to diet and to exercise. It's really worked for me and others in the group and there's no reason why it wouldn't work for you.

Thank you for your time Liesl... See you at the next session!

INTERVIEW WITH LYMM BOOT CAMPER, JANE

re-create boot camper jane oakley

Hi Jane. You have been a member at Re-Create Boot Camp nearly 4 months now.. How are you finding it?
I absolutely love Boot Camp!  The classes are challenging and you definitely know you have worked your body, but they are conducted in a way which makes them fun.  I never thought I would say I enjoy getting muddy and being shouted at but here I am saying exactly that!  I can honestly say that it’s the first exercise class I’ve ever been to that isn’t a chore to attend.

What benefits are you getting from RCB?
First and foremost getting fit in a fun environment in the fresh air.  I’m lucky enough to say I have never had to worry about my weight, but I have always said that being slim doesn’t mean being fit and healthy.  I joined boot camp to tone up and to improve my fitness level and it’s working: Since joining boot camp I’ve started running and the other day I ran 5 miles with a fellow boot camper, a distance I have never run before!

What has been the most memorable time at RCB?
There are so many, I particularly love the team games as I’m really competitive!  But probably turning up in the snow at 10am on Boxing Day doing an abs session stands out, just because all of my friends and family thought I was mad!

What would you tell to someone who has never been before?
Give it a try!  The thought of exercising outdoors (in all weathers!) might seem a bit off putting, but the instructors tailor the lessons to the conditions, making each session unique and it all makes for an interesting, challenging and enjoyable experience. The exercises are performed at your own level so there is no pressure to compete against others (of course human nature does take over) and you push yourself to the limit of what you can do.

What keeps you coming back each week?
A number of things, I can feel myself getting fitter, there is a great atmosphere and everyone has a good laugh during the workouts. Also, you don’t just turn up, pay your money and get forgotten about, there are follow up e-mails and texts, additional challenges, diet plans and recipes etc. all which are aimed towards you reaching your personal goals.

You husband has started coming now too.. Is there any rivalry?
(You’ve noticed then!).  It’s all in good fun, but I have been told that I appear to push myself that little bit harder in the sessions that we both attend, probably in a subconscious effort to compete against him.  During a recent “last man standing” endurance test Colin admitted that what kept him from giving up was the fact that I hadn’t!

Would you recommend RCB?
Definitely, and already have done so.  Everyone should give it a go!

Thanks for your time Jane.. See you at the next session!

INTERVIEW WITH KNUTSFORD BOOT CAMPER, LUCY

Hey Lucy... You're one of our longest serving Knutsford Boot Campers! Still having fun?

re-create boot camper lucy goldsmith
YES! Each session is different, so you never know what you'll end up doing! The sessions are also really social and we have a good giggle!

I'd been to a bootcamp earlier in the summer (only one session) and it was terrible, yelled at, injuries/fitness level all but ignored so i was warey of trying another bootcamp, but RC bootcamp is not like that all! The instructors are really friendly and take an active interest in your wellbeing, your motivations and i genuinely believe they are 100% committed to each 'campers' success.

What made you join RC Boot Camp?
A friend suggested i try it, and i really enjoyed it! I've always been quite active but have never really seen 'results' before, RC bootcamp does work!

What has been your biggest achievement so far at RC Boot Camp?
I have lost over a stone in weight and dropped a dress size so far and my body is toned!  I can now also do full sit-ups, full press ups and I am enjoying shopping in a running shop (!!)

What keeps you coming RC Boot Camp each week?
My fitness level is improving all the time, i'm aiming to complete 2 large cycle events this year, a mountain climb/cycle and 10k run, i'm feeling really positive about doing all of them!

Would you recommend RC Boot Camp?
100%! Exercising, outdoors in a group is so much more fun than being quiet in a gym by yourself, what's better than fresh air and friends! I know i keep saying it, but you really can see results. I was so proud of myself when i did my first full sit up and press up, results like these are what keeps me going.

What has been the most memorable part of RC Boot Camp so far?
Bootcamp in the snow!

Has RC Boot Camp changed your life in any way?
Yes i think it has, whilst i've usually enjoyed exercising, i genuinely look forward to sessions and am gutted when i can't make them! I enjoy exercising so much more now, than ever before.

If you could sum up RC Boot Camp in 3 words what would they be?
Challenging, Fun, Motivational

Lastly.. What would you say to someone who was thinking about joining us?
Give it a go, what's stopping you..Our instructors tell us every week "skin is waterproof", you know what...it's true!

Thanks for your time Lucy, See you at the next session!

INTERVIEW WITH LYMM BOOT CAMPER, KIM

Re-Create Boot Camper kim Bernard
Hi Kim, You are one of our newest members, how are you finding RC Boot Camp?

I am really enjoying bootcamp and actually find myself looking forward to the sessions as they are all so varied and fun. Also, all the members are lovely and very welcoming, I have even come to a few sessions on my own whereas I normally only train with someone I know.

You are one of our fitter members, do you still find the sessions challenging?
I have trained for a good number of years mainly doing a lot of running and also doing classes in the gym but I still find bootcamp challenging ( sometimes very!). Bootcamp is very different to the exercise I have done before and I think that it is a totally different kind of fitness. As I said, I have always run but combine this with tough, explosive exercises and sprints rather than jogs it makes a big difference. It has been a while since I have been really sore the days following a session but since starting bootcamp I have regularly ached for days afterwards in all sorts of places. To me, aching like that shows that what you have been doing really works!

How do you find training with people of various fitness levels?
I think training with people of different fitness levels is a benefit as everyone has good and bad days and everyone supports and encourages each other throughout the sessions. The instructors are great at reading how everyone is feeling on the day and they give lots of encouragement to everyone.

What keeps you coming back to RC Boot Camp?
I keep coming back to bootcamp because it is so varied from session to session. Somedays are really, really tough but then other days are more fun, with lots of team games. I have been to a number of sessions now but I can honestly say that every class is completely different but all very enjoyable. I also love being out in the fresh air rather than in an airconditioned gym, you have a glow all day after the classes! You also use so many different muscles that you whole body gets a great workout.

What sort of benefits are you getting from RC Boot Camp?
Bootcamp gives me many benefits. One benefit is that I now feel really motivated to exercise, there has been many a time in the past when i have had to literally force myself to get out there but bootcamp makes you look forward to getting out there because you never know what may be thrown at you! I also definately feel the change in my body, I feel like my whole body is being trained rather than just a couple of bits! Also, I feel like being in the fresh air for an hour really makes me feel better and healthier.

Would  you recommend RC Boot Camp?
I would thoroughly recommend bootcamp to everyone ( and have done many times! ) because it offers so much.

What has been your funniest moment at RC Boot Camp so far?
There have been lots of funny moments at bootcamp ( most sessions have funny moments ) but  the most funny was probabally when I brought a friend of mine for the first time last week. She made the mistake of asking Stu if "that was it?" She meant if that was the end of the session but Stu didn't take it like that and so obviously she was punished in typical bootcamp fashion!

What would you say to someone who has never been to RC Boot Camp?
If somebody had never been to bootcamp then I would tell them to get down to a session and try it as soon as possible beacuse they would love it! You get an amazing workout, meet lovely people, are encouraged throughout and are trained by people who know exactly what they are talking about and who produce great sessions and great results!

Thank you for your time Kim, See you at the next session!
